Parramatta Racing Engines: complete engine service or parts supply and tuning help.

VHM/EHR products are easy to use, good quality parts that make a difference. HGS and Van Hasselt (VH) pipes are at the top of the ladder, and VHM products are well made. We can supply the parts and help you with fine tuning so you can race at a higher level.

We can send parts overnight, road or air. Payment can be made by Credit Card, Cash, or Cheque. Information is best sent by email, but please call if it’s urgent. Phones get busy, email can be best sometimes.

Jetting changes for climate changes can be obtained if you give us your temp. RH. and elevation. They are minor modifications but are important at national racing level. Figures listed are at 25-30 degrees.

Please call first if you are sending engines. We have preferred transporters with insurance.    CYLINDER PORTING, CARBY MODS, CRANKSHAFT REBUILDING ARE DONE QUICKLY,  BUT COMPLETE ENGINES TAKE A WHILE AND WE ARE BOOKED ABOUT 2-3 WEEKS AHEAD MOST OF THE YEAR. DYNO TESTING ON BENCH OR BIKE HAS TO BE PREBOOKED AND TAKES TIME.

ENGINE DYNOMETER and BIKE DYNOMETER.        ( THE TRUTH METERS!  )

We have 2 dynos for testing. The bike dyno requires a slick race type tyre to be fitted before testing can be done. The Engine Dyno requires the engine only , to be bolted in place. The engine dyno is more precise and gives a true power reading that can be compared to the manufacturers specifications. We test the 50cc auto clutch type engines only on the engine dyno, as this is much more precise and less load . Dyno test graphs are the property of the engine/bike owner , and cannot be printed or viewed by others. All fitting and testing costs are charged at $125 per hour.We have found the European exhausts make the best power, and the pipe is the most important mod part changed. We dyno test exhausts alot, as well as heads, carbs etc. Alot of testing takes place in Europe in the off season, winter time, November to  January.  Tracks are closed, but engine tuners are busy.

   * VHM air box intakes  increase the 4 stroke power big time!   Increase the top end power on the two strokes, nice easy mod to fit.
    *    2022 World Junior Championships in FINLAND,  if you are competing, now is the time to book flights, accomodation etc.
    *Two stroke Exhausts for MX-  the mid range power always  gives the best lap times.
    *Modern two stroke exhausts on small engines, 50,65,85 125  will the silencer length make a big difference to the power?   NO. ( unless we are talking about extreme length, which will cook the engine!   Sorry, if you are thinking a shorter or longer silencer will make you win the race, it wont.  Dyno tests prove this. There is a difference, but only very small.

BELGIUM Van Hasselt Exhausts / 2 stroke (VH) 65cc to 300cc

The mid to top range power of the Belgium made exhaust is very good , specially designed for sand tracks and general mx tracks the pipe wraps close to the bike. After fitting this exhaust its common to change the rear sprocket size 1-2 teeth , as the engine power increases and pulls the faster gearing easy, and produces faster lap times. Exhausts that have won world championships.

Van Hasselt- Belgium Exhausts – 2017 has seen the introduction of these sought after exhausts in Australia finally. The Belgium exhaust low volume hand made producer , makes each pipe exactly the same, and specialises in  good mid and top end. Motocross, Enduro and flat trackers are enjoying this of power . There is no other pipe we have tested that has this smooth ,quiet , type of performance. Pipe sits close the bike, easy to ride.  We have some stock engines, with just the VH pipes/silencers fitted and jetting changes done, and the riders are winning at top level race meetings, MX and Flat track. The difference, is  noticeable without the extra noise.

KTM SX50 2018-2023  NOTE-  rules only allow some changes, depends on the machinery examiner  at each state or National Race meeting. Engines are never fully stripped, so there are many places inside the engine to modify, but items like clutches, ignitions, cylinder head, reed valves, carbys cannot be changed. A stock engine can be changed to make more power, without making changes that can be seen!  The exhaust can give a big increase in power!  Engine and wheel Ceramic bearings & gear tumbling/superfinnished alone add extra performance.
